On behalf of Pinewood Centre, welcome to our web-site.

Pinewood is one of Ontario's largest treatment programs that specializes in counselling services for substance users, problem gamblers and family members.

In total, we employ about 80 staff, who are among the most dedicated and well-trained in the field. They have helped thousands of people cope with substance use and problem gambling concerns, and many of our counsellors have been specially trained to work with distinct population groups such as youth, women and those with mental health issues.

Our approach to working with people is best described as client centred, meaning that each person is treated as an individual with unique needs. Treatment plans that reflect each person's strengths, concerns and preferences have been the hallmark of Pinewood Centre's success. We are committed to providing each person with the most effective treatment plan to meet their needs.

Our services are continually evolving as research and best practices principles are developed. Treatment models such as Stages of Change, Motivational Interviewing and Harm Reduction are the underpinnings for all of our services.
