| Community Treatment Orders |
The Community Treatment Orders (CTO) program is a joint service offered by Lakeridge Health, Canadian Mental Health Association – Durham Branch, and Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences.
CTOs are a special type of treatment that is described fully within the Mental Health Act of Ontario. Each person on a CTO has a highly structured treatment plan that requires attendance at treatment, medication regime and other elements that will assist the individual to achieve mental health wellness and avoid future hospitalizations.
Each CTO includes the role of a treating psychiatrist.
